#GoAllOut with these Top Summer Arts Events in Columbus, Georgia

Summer is heating up, and there's a LOT to see in Columbus, Georgia! From children’s shows to award-winning art exhibitions, everyone age 0-99 will find something unique to explore.
Pack up your people and get ready for a fabulous time exploring the arts in Columbus, GA together.
1) Southern Heat - An art exhibition by Julianna Wells.
Southern Heat explores the quiet tension between nature and human interaction. Merging Southern motifs with Classical compositions, Julianna Wells plays with tradition and personal experience to evoke sensations of place, memory, and nostalgia.
On display through June 27 in the Illges Gallery at Corn Center for the Arts.
2) Giraffes Can’t Dance
#GoAllOut with a children’s theatre experience on vacation! This fun and catchy musical is based on the beloved children’s book by Gile Andreae. The show teaches that our differences are what make us special, and everyone should have the confidence to just be themselves.
June 5-22 at Columbus State University’s Riverside Theatre.
3) America Fantastica: Memories, Dreams, and Chance
This exhibition is not your typical museum experience - it's an adventure in surrealism to delight the senses! This extraordinary show at The Columbus Museum brings together seven exceptional works on loan from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), two from the innovative Art Bridges Collection, and a special piece from a local private collector. Visitors to the Museum will find these treasures paired with standout paintings and drawings from the Columbus Museum’s own collection. As always, admission is free. #GoAllOut!

4) Public Opening Reception for The Persistence of Form in Life’s Remains and Beyond Go Figure IV at The Bo Bartlett Center
Every summer, the Bo Bartlett Center houses multiple exhibitions for visitors to enjoy. The public openings for each exhibition are combined and create one of the largest cultural celebrations of the summer. The best part of this tradition? Admission is free!
This year’s exhibitions include Butch Anthony‘s The Persistence of Form in Life’s Remains, and the fourth annual Beyond Go Figure exhibition.

5) Sistas of Soul
Last summer, the Springer Opera House produced Men of Motown and brought the house down. The June variety show was such a success that their audience requested another one this year! Gather your family and grab tickets to CELEBRATE with a night of fun watching Sistas of Soul.
This high-energy show is a tribute to the legendary voices that defined generations of music for us all. Expect to hear music by Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Etta James, Roberta Flack, Whitney Houston and more!

6) Blaq on Broadway 2
Back by popular demand, Blaq on Broadway is on tour again! This show marks the season’s first hip-hop concert at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, and features the music of C-Blaq, his band PitchBlaqout, and surprise special guests performing throughout the night.

7) Alice in Wonderland at the Springer Opera House
Take a tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice into a Wonderland like you've never seen before — where high school uncovers surreal surprises and every hallway leads to another question: Who am I?
#GoAllOut with a trip back to the late ’80s and ’90s, where kids grew up on arcade games, VHS tapes, weird commercials, and saw the first glimpses of the internet.
In this vibrant, high-energy adventure, Alice dashes through the audience in pursuit of the White Rabbit, joins the most absurd tea party in history, and faces off with the fiery Queen of Hearts. Along the way, she meets familiar faces like cheeky cats, talking eggs, mad hatters, but through a lens that blends nostalgia, emotional truth, and the magic of growing up.
July 19-27.
8) The Seventh Bardo
This exhibition of photography by Beth Lilly explores a meditation on the modern journey. The landscapes comprising The Seventh Bardo re-envision the view outside the window as a no-man’s land, far removed from the ordinary routines of daily life.
On display through August 23 at The Do Good Fund.
